“Token Invalid” error

Encountering a “Token Invalid” error in WIPERAPP can disrupt your data wiping operations. This issue may arise due to several factors:

Deleted Token from Admin Panel but Still on Flash Drive

If a token has been deleted from the WIPERAPP Admin Panel, but the same token file (key.wiperapp) still exists on the flash drive, WIPERAPP will detect a mismatch. Since the token is no longer present in the WIPERAPP Admin Panel, the client-side interface will notify the user that the token is invalid and needs to be replaced.

Mismatched Token Between Flash Drive and Admin Panel

mismatched token occurs when the token file on the Flash drive does not correspond to the one in the WIPERAPP Admin Panel. This can happen if:

  • A new token was generated, but an older token is still being used.
  • The token file was replaced incorrectly or was manually altered.
