Compressed Image Error in ISO

If you encounter a compressed image error while flashing the WIPERAPP ISO using Etcher, the issue may be temporary. The first step is to retry the flashing process without making any changes. Close Etcher, reopen it, select the WIPERAPP ISO, and attempt to flash the USB again. In many cases, simply retrying the process resolves the issue.

If the error persists, it is advisable to verify the integrity of the ISO file. A corrupted or incomplete download can cause flashing errors. To ensure that the file is not damaged, re-download the WIPERAPP ISO from the official website and try flashing it again.

Alternatively, you can:

  1. Use alternative software like Rufus for flashing the ISO file, which is free and reliable.
  2. Perform a deep format on the USB drive if it was previously used as a WIPERAPP flash drive. You can reset the USB using the following commands (for Windows):
  • Open Command Prompt with admin rights.
  • Enter:

diskpart
list disk
select disk X  (Replace X with the number of the USB drive)
clean

This process ensures that the USB drive is clean and ready for flashing.

For detailed steps on downloading the ISO file, refer to the Download WIPERAPP ISO  Documentation.
